Hospitality, community, and a place to belong…

Last month the campus ministers had a session with the dean of student life here at UM. The 5 year trend is that more and more students are feeling depressed, lonely, disconnected and apathetic about life. They are also showing a lower ability to solve problems, develop healthy relationships, and have a clear plan about school and beyond. The administration has realized they need to help students find ways to get connected and supported so that they can cope with the stresses of their lives.

LCM Needs List

Your support is invaluable to our ministry. Here's our wish list for our new student lounge:

• A digital projector for teaching, worship, movies and more
• A screen that we can attach on the wall and pull down
• A receiver system with remote speakers for music and movies
• Café style table and chairs (one table and 4 chairs)
• A nice coffee table and/or a nice end table
• A new(er) scanner
• A linksys internet booster to carry signal from the Ark
• Nice artwork for our walls
• Relevant books or other resources for our library
• Financial gifts are also very helpful!
