Pastor John LundCampus Pastor

Pastor John Lund grew up in the north-woods of Michigan, went to seminary in Berkeley, CA and served churches in Wisconsin and Vancouver, WA. He loves hiking, biking, fishing, sports and stimulating discussions about the meaning of life. He has a passion for inclusive community and meaningful worship. He is married to Karin and they have two boys, Sammy and Eric. They make their home up in the Rattlesnake Valley.

 

Peer Minister

Rachel Cook is a third year Journalism major from Idaho Falls, ID. She has been active in LCM the past two years. She represented her synod at the Churchwide Assembly in 2005 and served on the synod youth council. Rachel is a master of balancing silly games and serious discussions all at the same time. She has traveled to Vietnam and hopes to make a difference in the world through her work.

 

Peer Minister

Karl Hallgrimson is a third year student studying history, biology and Latin. Karl grew up in Missoula and has spent the last two summers working at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp. Karl has a passion for justice concerns, good Bible studies, and environmental issues. He cooks a mean pot of chili, likes to play Frisbee, and will be living above our campus center.

 

 

The Music Guy

Casey Bailey is a music major who came in one credit short of graduation this spring. He hails from a wheat farm up near Fort Benton. Casey loves to play piano, guitar and harmonica and is willing to take anyone who can carry a tune. He loves to talk theology, politics and food and has a love for honest community. Casey splits his time between farming, school, horsing around and being involved in his faith communities.

The Caretaker

Peter Metcalf is a graduate student in environmental studies from the Portland, OR. He has worked at Flathead Lutheran Camp, served as youth director at Atonement Lutheran in Missoula, and is spending the summer as a white-water river guide on the Flathead River. In his studies Peter is focusing on the intersection between Christian faith and care for our planet. He will live downstairs in the Lifeboat and be a key part of our community.
